Please click on the department to which you are applying:
Step Two: Send the COMPLETE application packet to:
Admissions Coronado School of the Arts 650 D Avenue Coronado, CA 92118
Application will not be reviewed until it is complete and all materials have been received. You do not need to send portfolios, tapes or other such materials with your application. You are responsible for submitting the application form, proof of grades and attendance record, and essay (Parts I, II, III). Please make sure your arts professional or teacher has faxed or mailed your evaluation (Part IV). The application is not considered complete until all materials have been received.
If your application is complete and you meet the requirements for admittance, you will be contacted via email to schedule an audition and/or interview.
Step Three: Prepare for your audition and/or interview.
After you have scheduled your audition/interview, there are several things you can do to prepare for your audition and/or interview:
- Come to the Prospective Student Workshop on January 24, 2012, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
- Carefully review the Interview, Portfolio and/or Audition tips provided at the end of each application form.
- Prepare your portfolio with materials that portray your talent and abilities (if you are required to bring a portfolio).
- Practice your audition (if applicable).
- Role-play an interview situation with your parents or friends or a teacher.
Step Four: Come to your Audition or Portfolio Review and Interview.
Please be on time. Please give us the courtesy of notification if your plans change or you need to reschedule your interview time.
Step Five: You will be notified via email and U.S. Postal Service of your acceptance status.
Prospective students will be notified by approximately March 16, 2012.
Step Six: Please accept or decline your admission to CoSA as soon as possible.
- If you are an interdistrict transfer student and you accept, you will need to obtain permission to transfer from your district.
