CoSA Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary

The CoSA Foundation threw a birthday party for CoSA and innaugurated the new Performing Arts Center in a combined celebration on Saturday, January 20.

CoSA, a county-wide arts program, began in 1996, as a school-within-a-school at CHS and has grown over the ten years to serve 130 students a year who are interested in careers in the arts. Students from all over San Diego County participate in the conservatory-style arts education program. Many CoSA graduates are now working artists, including stage managers, costume designers, sound technicians, recording studio owners, film makers, actors, singers, musicians, fine artists, poets, writers, dancers, and, choreographers. Many graduates are attending higher education at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Berkley School of Music, Cornish College of the Arts, San Fransisco Art Institute, Chicago Art Institute, Brooks School of Photography, and more.
