Dr. Luke Schulze joins CoSA after several years of teaching at area schools. A composer and pianist, Luke developed the music program at Loyola High School in Los Angeles before moving to San Diego. CoSA Student Michael Silberblatt Wins Top Honor
CHS and CoSA Senior Michael Silberblatt was selected as one of 12 students to be part of the 2010 U.S.-China Student Leaders Exchange chosen from this year’s 141 U.S. Presidential Scholars. He is the only arts representative and the only California resident among these top 12 seniors in the country, so he moved up to being recognized as the top arts scholar nationally. Coronado School of the Arts Receives National Endowment for the Arts Grant for Multi‐Disciplinary Performance Art Piece
Coronado Unified School District (CUSD) has earned a prestigious Access to Artistic Excellence grant for $13,000 from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) to produce “Sacred Sky, Sacred Earth,” a free and open to the public visual art installation incorporating the work of renowned installation artist Peter Terezakis, together with dance, music, and spoken word that will take place on North Beach in Coronado on March 20, 2011. Coronado High Photography Students Exhibit in Gaslamp
Coronado High School photography students are exhibiting their work at Coffee & Art Photographic Art Gallery in downtown San Diego December 13-30, 2008. The exhibit will feature a kaleidoscope of artwork by eleven students and will include photos for sale, just in time for the holidays. Photos include magnificent landscape shots, intriguing urban scenes, and unique portraits.
