The Application Process
Step One: The Application
Students interested in applying to CoSA should fill out an application. Completed applications contain:
- The completed information sections signed by a parent or guardian
- An essay by the student stating the reasons for applying for the school
- A recommendation by a teacher who knows the student and his/her arts’ commitment
- A transcript (in good standing) from the student’s present school

Step Two: The Audition or Portfolio Review
After the CoSA Staff receives your CoSA Application, you will receive a post card indicating that your application is complete. Your will then be contacted for an audition or portfolio review and an interview. The CoSA staff recommends that the parent or guardian accompany their student to the interview/audition or portfolio review session. CoSA staff wants to meet the student’s parent/guardian and often the parent/guardian has questions for the staff.
