Program Overview
The Instrumental Music conservatory emphasizes the study of classical and jazz music. Our program provides intensive training in students' chosen instruments across wind, percussion, brass, jazz, and string categories, with music professionals coaching students weekly throughout the year.
Students develop comprehensive musical knowledge through coursework in music theory (including AP Music Theory), ear training, jazz theory and improvisation, electronic music skills, composition and orchestration. Classes are also offered in music history and culture, music technology, and the business of music.
Our state-of-the-art computerized music studio gives students the opportunity to compose, arrange, and record music. In addition to CoSA's large music studio, students have access to several soundproof practice rooms where they can refine their craft.
